IGNOU Saharsa Regional Centre: This RC of IGNOU was established in July 2011 to supervise over eight districts of Saharsa, Bihar, Kishanganj, Supaul, Araria, Katihar, Madhepura, Khagaria, and Purnea. Since its inception, the RC has its aim of spreading higher education in the remotest and underdeveloped area of North Bihar.
Dr Mirza Nehal Ahmad Baig conducts the operations of the RC as the senior regional director. The jurisdiction of the RC covers eight districts, such as Katihar, Kishanganj, Araria, Purnea, Khagaria, Supaul, Madhepura, and Saharsa. Learners who complete the eligibility criteria of the particular course they are wishing to pursue from Saharsa Regional Center can enroll for the July 2026 academic year as the admission of all the courses has commenced and the last date for enrolling is 15 July 2026. Applicants will get the admission forms from the official website of IGNOU which is @ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

- Go to the official website rcsaharsa.ignou.ac.in to access the admission link to IGNOU’s official webpage.
- Next, from the page click the Fresh Admission option under the “News and Events” section. It will prompt you to the application website @ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
- Finish the registration using the candidate’s name, mobile number, and email address, and create a password and username.
- After this, complete the login process adding the username, password and captcha.
- Proceed with the online application by entering the required initials, choosing the program you prefer to study, and uploading the scanned documents like the educational mark sheets, the scanned signature and photograph of the learner, and so on.
- Make sure to double-check the details on the form and the uploaded documents.

IGNOU Saharsa Regional Centre Faculties
Dr Mirza Nehal Ahmad Baig is guiding the Saharsa Regional Centre as the senior regional director. Under the leadership of the director, the staff of the RC provides effective support services to all its learners.
The services offered are a student council administered by the students, an information centre to assist learners with their assignments, exams and more. The RC also has a cafeteria, computer labs, laboratories and a library. Additionally, there’s a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking lot for visitors and students.
