IGNOU BLIS Course Details

The minimum duration of Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) program at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is 1 year and a maximum duration is 2 years. BLIS has 10 subjects out of which 6 are practical subjects and the rest 4 are theoretical subjects. Over the years there has been a tremendous change in the field of libraries that’s why IGNOU has decided to introduce the BLIS program for the students in the year 2000.

The IGNOU admission for BLIS course will begin on 12 May 2025* for the July session. The last date for filling out the registration form will be 30 June 2025*. The Indira Gandhi National Open University Bachelor of Science is a three duration flexible course that students complete through distance learning. To get the Bachelor of Science degree, applicants need to finish 96 credits by studying like Math’s, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology. It also includes lab work course and environments-related program. Indira Gandhi National Open University offers a Bachelor of Business Administration course in Service Management specialization in two academic sessions January and July. During this course Fundamental of Management, Foundation of Services Marketing, Understanding Human Behaviors, Basics Quantitative Techniques, and more.

The applicants should pass 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized educational board, be at least 18 years of age, and be working in the services industry as a full-time intern/apprentice/employee. The total fee of IGNOU BBA SM is INR 60,000 and the registration fee is INR 300. The student will get a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from IGNOU & work experience certificate from the company on completion of the course.

Bachelor of Arts course re-registration will be started from the first week of May at the Indira Gandhi National Open University into the July 2025 academic session.   • Once you are on the page, go directly to the “Students Corner” section and click on the “Admission” button.
  • Here, at the top right side of the screen click on “Student Services” and click on the “Admissions” button. In this section, click on the option for application.
  • You will be redirected to the website ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
  • After reaching the website, register using details like your name, log in details, mobile number, email address, etc.
  • Next, login, enter the username and password and move to the application process.
  • Provide the required details on the online form, select a program you are willing to study, and upload the documents like educational proof, category certificate, scanned photograph signature of the candidate, and so on.
