IGNOU Srinagar Regional Centre: The Indira Gandhi National Open University started the Srinagar Regional Centre in 1999 on the campus of the University of Kashmir. This regional center has started a fortnight session on every third and first Monday of every month for the counselors and the part-time workers of the program study centers (PSCs) and the Learner support centers (LSCs). Dr A. H. Rizvi is the senior regional director of this study facility.  

The IGNOU Srinagar Regional Centre started with only 1000 students and 4 programs. Now, the centre has over 50 thousand learners and the number of study centres has extended to 45. This consists of 1 special study center, 12 program study centers, and 32 regular study centers.

For the 2025 July academic session Indira Gandhi National Open University will commence the admission procedure at the Srinagar Regional Centre for all the offered courses. Individuals interested in taking admission to the Srinagar regional centre official portal http://rcsrinagar.ignou.ac.in.

IGNOU Srinagar Regional Centre Admission 2025 last date will be 30 June 2025* for July academic session. The application process consists of several steps, candidates must be careful while providing the required information and uploading the documents. This is because one wrong step can lead to cancellation of the application.

  • Applicant can visit the official IGNOU Srinagar Regional Centre site address rcsrinagar.ignou.ac.in. Here, from the “News and Events” section go through the “Latest” section and click on “Announcement” of the commencement of Fresh admission.
  • Here, click on “Apply for ODL Programme” or the other to access the admission portal page ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
  • Next, you will find the registration option at the left side of the page, there register using the details like the login details, the name of the student, their mobile number and email address, etc.
  • After the registration, sign in to the student profile using the username and password and click on “Login” to verify the login process.
  • Once this is done, it’s time to fill up the online application form, and here enter the details needed, and don’t forget to choose the program you want to apply for. After that, upload the documents that are required for the program you have selected.
  • Next, pay the fee using net banking or using your credit and debit card.
