IGNOU Siliguri Regional Centre: Indira Gandhi National Open University instituted in 2004, with the aim of looking after the operations of the university in the 7 districts of North Bengal. The senior regional director of this regional office is Dr. Pravin Pralayankar.
The dominion of IGNOU Siliguri Regional Centre continued to Alipurduar revenue district, Dakshin Dinajpur, Uttar Dinajpur, Kalimpong, Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, and Coochbehar. The RC oversees the entire administrative and academic activities of all student support centres in five districts of the North Bengal region.
Currently, under the Siliguri RC jurisdiction, there are 21 study centres. Based on the assessment requirements, the Siliguri RC sent proposals for new study centres to the New Delhi headquarters of IGNOU.

The Siliguri Regional Center of Indira Gandhi National Open University, has opened the admission windows for the January 2026 Academic session. At the Siliguri RC, 15 March 2026 is the last date to apply for the IGNOU admission 2026 at Siliguri RC under the January session.
Interested individuals can apply online or at the Siliguri regional center for their desired programs. The online application requires registration and login to the official link ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. After registration, students can directly apply for the program by paying a fee.
IGNOU Siliguri Admission Process 2026
- Firstly, enter the official link of the regional center rcsiliguri.ignou.ac.in.
- At the top right side of the page, click on “Fresh Admission for January 2026″ under the “Latest” section.
- Next, under “News Detail” click on “Click here for more details”. Here, read the notification and note the URL ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in to go to that website.
- The application process starts with registration and for that, add the name of the applicant, their mobile number, email address, and other details to complete the process.
- Later, log in using the username and password and proceed to the application.
- Enter the details, and select the course you want to study.
- Submit the documents such as the scanned signature of the applicant, with their photograph, category, work experience, and educational certificates.
- Make the online payment of INR 300 through net banking or any other prescribed process.
IGNOU Siliguri Regional Centre Faculties
