IGNOU Ranchi Regional Centre Admission 2025: Ranchi RC is the 22nd office of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), established in 2000. The main objective of this regional centre is to provide better quality open education and support to the learners of the newly established State of Jharkhand.
In 2000, RC Ranchi started their journey with only 11 study centers with around 8000 students. This regional centre has shown rapid growth in the last 19 years, currently, RC Ranchi has 50 study centers with 47,000 students (According to the report 2018) enrolled in the university.
The Ranchi regional centre has offices in Dhanbad, Jamshedpur, Deoghar, and in Ranchi. With the increasing demands of the students, Deoghar centre was established in 2011 along with 7 districts under the authority of the Ranchi department, which is the administrator of the remaining 17 districts of the state.

Latest Notification about IGNOU Ranchi Regional Centre
- The IGNOU Ranchi regional centre will begin the admission for the July session of UG, PG, Diploma, and certification courses from 12 May 2025*. Candidates can visit http://rcranchi.ignou.ac.in/ for admission forms.
- Ranchi Regional Centre will start the IGNOU re-registration process for 2nd year students from 5th May 2025*. Candidates can re-register themselves from the link given above.
IGNOU Ranchi Regional Centre Offered Courses
The Regional Centre of Ranchi offers total 105 PG, UG, Diplomas and certificate courses out which, 16 are Master’s Degrees, 15 are PG and Advanced Diplomas, 1 is PG and Advanced Certificate, 7 Bachelor’s Degrees, 10 Diplomas, 23 Certificate courses, 1 is Non-Credit program, 1 Appreciation program, 2 Awareness Programs, 1 Foundation Course and many more.

IGNOU Ranchi Regional Centre Admission Updates 2025
Applicants can enroll themselves for the programs of their interest from the official website of RC Ranchi i.e. http://rcranchi.ignou.ac.in/. Ranchi RC will start the IGNOU admission process for all the programs from 12 May 2025*. Also, candidates must match the eligibility criteria of the program they have opted for. IGNOU Ranchi Regional Centre Admission 2025 last date will be 30 June 2025* into the July session.

IGNOU Ranchi Regional Centre Admission Process 2025
- Candidates need to visit the official website of the Ranchi Regional Centre for the admission process: http://rcranchi.ignou.ac.in.
- Once reached on the homepage of the portal, a candidate will see the About Us section.
- Now a candidate will see a link in this section. Click on the link, it will redirect candidates to the official portal of the IGNOU Samarth: @ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
- After reaching the IGNOU Samarth portal, candidates have to select the option of “Click here for New Registration” given on the right side of the page.
- Enter all the details that are required, such as Name, Email ID, Contact Number & more.
- The university will send a login ID to the candidate’s registered email ID. Candidates need to log in with their registered username and password.
- Upload all the required documents such as Passport size Photographs, Signatures, Qualification Certificates & more.
- Now choose the course of your interest and pay the registration fee of INR 300 along with the course fee via Debit/Credit Card, Internet Banking, or UPI.
- Don’t forget to take a screenshot of the payment.
