School of  Health Sciences offers Post-Graduate Diploma in Hospital & Health Management (PGDHHM) at IGNOU.  PGDHHM consists of 32 credits, providing in-depth knowledge about the subjects like Introduction to Management, Health System Management, Support and Utility Services and Risk Management, Organization and Management of Hospital, Clinical, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services, etc. 

The main aim of this program is to fulfill the specified requirements of middle-level administrators in a hospital or healthcare set-up. This program provides educational qualifications and insight into managerial function to those graduates, who are seeking Hospital & Health Management as a career. Also this program will enhance the skills of the candidates who are currently working in hospital management at senior level.

Post-Graduate Diploma in Hospital & Health Management is a multimedia course which comprises General Management, Management of Human Resources, Finance, Logistics and Equipment in Hospitals. PGDHHM also includes health system management, epidemiology and biostatistics.

IGNOU PGDHHM Admission 2025

IGNOU offers PGDHHM course in only January academic session, Indira Gandhi National Open University will start their admission process for all courses expect PGDHHM course into the July session from 12 May 2025*. The fee for the registration is INR 300 and the total fee is INR 25,200 which can be paid in installments. IGNOU Admission 2025 last date will be 30 June 2025* into the July session.

The university accepts the payment through Credit card, Debit Card and Internet Banking. IGNOU provides an option of filling the admission forms in both ways i.e. online and offline mode. For the online admission candidates need to visit the official website of IGNOU ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

For offline admission a candidate can visit the regional center of IGNOU to submit the hard copy of admission form, documents required and the course fee.

Eligibility Criteria for IGNOU PGDHHM Admission 2025

The eligibility criteria for admission at IGNOU’s Post-Graduate Diploma in Hospital & Health Management (PGDHHM) are as follows:-

• Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any system of medicine recognized by any UGC Approved University. 
• Candidates with Post Graduation and graduation in Pharmacy, Nursing, or any relevant specialty or healthcare with a minimum of 2 years of working experience can enroll for this program. 
• Candidates with Graduation or post-graduation in any sector with 5 years of experience in managerial and supervisor capacity in a hospital with at least 100 beds can also enroll for this program. 

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria mentioned above will be selected by the School of Health Sciences.

In each program study centre around 40 candidates will get selected. Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jabalpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Nagpur, Patna, Pune and Srinagar are the present study centers of IGNOU.

• After the login process you will reach the page of the application form where you have to upload all the required documents.
