School of Social Work (SOSW) provides 96 credits in Online Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) covering subjects such as Social Administration, Counseling and Communication, Introduction to Social Work, Human Growth and Behavior, Work with Individuals and Families, Social Work and Research, and Community Interventions.

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will start its admission process on 12 May 2025* for their Online BSW course and the last date for enrolling will be 30 May 2025*. 

Candidates can apply for this program online from the above-mentioned link and also candidates can opt for offline admission in which they have to visit the regional center for the submission of hard copies of admission forms, required documents, and the course fees.

The IGNOU Online Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Program is open for both national and international students. The process for the admission is the same for both categories. Candidates can enroll for this program from 12 May 2025* and the last date for the admission will be 30 June 2025*. Candidates are advised to visit the official portal of IGNOU i.e. https://ignouiop.samarth.edu.in for admission.

Steps to Apply for IGNOU Online BSW Admission 2025

NOTE:- DEB ID is mandatory for submission of application. Please create your DEB ID before starting the application process.

• Visit the official website of IGNOU ignouiop.samarth.edu.in for registration. 
• After reaching the page, select the option “Click here for new registration” appearing on the left side.
• Now, fill in all the details such as username, password, email ID, and mobile number for the registration.
• Once the registration process is completed, come back to the home page again, click on the “Registered user login” appearing on the right-hand side of the page, and enter the username, password, and captcha. 
• If any candidate forgets the username or password, they can reset it by clicking on Forgot Password? Click to Reset your Password or Forgot Username? Click to Reset your Username.
• Now, fill in the details asked and upload all the documents for the completion of the application form.
• Candidates need to remember to preview and recheck the form because the university will not accept the form if any details are incorrect.
• Now after all these formalities, make the payment via Credit card, Debit Card, and Internet Banking.
• After the payment candidate will receive a confirmation mail from the University on their registered mail ID or registered mobile number.
• Don’t forget to keep a screenshot of the payment for the future need.
• Candidates who want scholarships can apply for Government of India Scholarships on the official website, scholarships.gov.in.
