IGNOU Mumbai Regional Centre: The regional centre in Mumbai was instituted in 2009, January, with its separation from the Pune section. The primary objective of the IGNOU Mumbai RC is to provide effective support services to the increasing student enrollment in the region, especially in the minority and backward blocks of Mumbai. Dr. Rahul Mishra is the present senior regional director at the regional centre.

IGNOU Mumbai Regional Centre covers the metropolitan and the Konkan region covering districts such as Ratnagiri, Raigad, Palghar, Thane, Mumbai Suburban, and Mumbai. The largest city in this area is Mumbai, with around 21 million admissions, and the regional department encompasses 60% of the total population of the state of Maharashtra.

IGNOU Mumbai Admission Updates 2025

Fresh IGNOU admission will start for the July 2025 academic session to all the offered courses at the Mumbai Regional Centre from 12 May 2025. You just need to accessing the official application portal, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. IGNOU Mumbai Regional Centre Admission 2025 last date will be 30 June 2025* for July academic session. If you are applying for the first time, it’s important to go through the below admission process.

IGNOU Mumbai Admission Process 2025

  • Open the browser and enter the regional centre link rcmumbai.ignou.ac.in.
  • After accessing the homepage of the website, under the “About us” section click on the “Apply for Fresh Admission” option and get prompted to the official website of the application, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
  • First, you have to register using the details such as username, password, student’s name, email address, mobile number, and verification code.
  • Next, use the login details like user ID and password under the “Registered user login” section and sign in to the student profile.
  • Now, you have to complete the online application form, enter the information there, and choose the course you want to enroll in. After this, upload the documents like scanned educational qualification, category certificate, educational mark sheets, scanned signature, and passport-size photograph of the applicant.
  • Once this is over, pay the fee, which is Rs. 300 using debit or credit cards, or net banking.
