IGNOU Jorhat Regional Centre: This RC started functioning in March 2013, after separating from Guwahati RC. Primarily, the centre worked with only 20 study centres, and a few staff from C.K.B Commerce College. After the division, the regional centre provides educational support to more students residing in the Jorhat region. Dr. Anil Ch. Borah is the current senior regional director.
Presently, the IGNOU Jorhat Regional Centre is operating from a government building located at Korokatoly, Baligaon, Jorhat. The study office is now serving over 30000 students by offering Bachelor Preparatory, Certificates, PG Diplomas, Diploma, Master and Bachelor’s Programs. RC Jorhat has 26 learner support departments overseeing 13 districts of Assam, such as Biswanath, Hojai, Majuli, Charaideo, Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Sonitpur, Nagaon, Sivasagar, Golaghat, and Jorhat.

IGNOU Jorhat Regional Centre Admission Updates 2025
The admission procedure will be start by IGNOU Jorhat Regional Centre for the July 2025 academic session from 5th of May 2025. To apply on the website, students have to open the portal, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. IGNOU Jorhat Regional Centre Admission 2025 last date will be 30 June 2025* into the July session.
On the platform, candidates have to finish registration as a student, log in as a verified user, complete the form, upload the necessary papers, and pay the fee of Rs. 300. Go through the below admission process of IGNOU programs, and get an idea if you are applying for the first time.

IGNOU Jorhat Regional Centre Admission Process 2025
- Candidates residing in Jorhat region can apply from the regional centre website rcjorhat.ignou.ac.in.
- At the right-hand side of the page, under the “Contact Details” section click on “Admission open for July 2025” to go to the admission webpage ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
- The first thing you have to do is to complete the registration. Click on the “Click here for new registration” from the left side of the page.
- Provide the applicant’s name, mobile number, email address, and login initials to finish the registration.
- Login by adding the username password, and captcha, and click on “Login” to verify the account.
- Now, start with the application. Enter the details required, and choose the course you want to study.
- Proceed with the document uploads. The documents you need such as educational certificates scanned passport size photograph and signature, category certificates, identity proof, permanent address proof, experience proof, etc. Make sure to abide by the sizes of the documents, otherwise, it will not be accepted.
- Make sure to check the form again, and pay the fee of INR 300, through net banking, debit, or credit cards.
