IGNOU Delhi 2 Regional Centre: It is one of the significant regional centres in India, which operates several other study centres in the city. The department was erected in 1998-99, along with the division of Delhi-1 and Delhi-2. The department is administered by the senior regional director, Dr. Manorama Singh.

The Delhi 2 RC covers Central, East, North, and North-East Delhi. The centre started with only 19 study facilities, with 6425 students. Now, the department has emerged as one of the biggest regional centres with support centres, fee remittances, number of programs, total students admitted, etc.

Currently, the Delhi 2 RC has 54 learner support facilities comprising a Tele Learning Centre. The region also has 2 Padmasree awards as the leader of student support centres.

• IGNOU Re-registration for the students who want to apply for the next semester or year will commence on 05 May 2025* for the July academic session.
• IGNOU admission for the session of July 2025 will start on 12 May 2025* at the Delhi 2 Regional Centre.

IGNOU Delhi 2 Regional Centre Offered Courses:

There are many programs offered at this regional centre, including 22 Master’s Degrees in programs such as English, Hindi, History, and others. 28 PG and advanced diploma in Business Operations, Higher Education, etc. 7 PG and advanced certificate. 18 Bachelor’s Degrees in BCOM, BA, BED, BSC, and many more.

11 Diploma, 53 Certificate courses in Consumer Protection, Food Safety, French Language, and so on. 1 Non-Credit Program, and 2 Appreciation Programs in the distance mode. There are also regular and online mode courses offered at this RC.

IGNOU Delhi 2 RC Admission Updates 2025

IGNOU Admission will be available both online and offline mode from 12 May 2025 and it will concluded on 30 June 2025. The online application will available on the official site ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. Candidates have to carefully enter the required details to apply for their desired programs. • Open the online link of the regional department of Delhi 2 RC rcdelhi2.ignou.ac.in.
• After accessing the page, go to the “Student Corner” option from the left upper side of the homepage to go to the next step.
• Here, under “Prospectus and Important Formats” click on “Admission” and on the next page click on “Student Services”.
• Now click on “Admissions” and choose from the options offered there, to be prompted to the admission portal, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
• Once there, you need to register by clicking on the “Click here for new registration” button.
• Provide the name of the candidate, valid email ID, phone number, etc. to register.
• Use the registered user ID and password to log in.
• After you have logged in, finish the application form, choose your desired program, and upload the scanned documents relevant to the requirements like the educational proof, category certificate, work experience proof, scanned signature and photograph of the applicant, and others.
• Lastly, pay the fee of Rs. 300 through the available methods (debit card or net banking).

IGNOU Delhi 2 Regional Centre Faculties

Dr. Manorama Singh carries out the duty of the senior regional director at the Delhi 2 RC. The regional centre offers various activities such as counseling sessions, Library facilities, facilities for Tele-conferencing, Part-time Academic Counsellors at the Learner Support Centres, evaluation of Project Reports and VIVA Voce.
