IGNOU BBSR Regional Centre: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) regional center Bhubaneswar (BBSR) located in Odisha state was established in 1986. With support of public, Governmental and Non-Governmental institutions, the center has shown a major growth in the past. In 2000 the regional center of Bhubneswar got its own campus and since then the center is working very effectively.
IGNOU Bhubaneswar (BBSR) Regional Center is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘A+’ grade. BBSR offers a total of 85 programs, out of which 11 are undergraduate courses, 25 are certification courses, 3 are PG & Advanced Certificate, and the remaining 21 are PG & Advanced Diploma courses such as English, MBA, MA in Tourism, PG Diploma in Translation, Postgraduate Certificate in Agriculture Policy, BTS, BCom, DECE, CRD, CCR, and many more.
BBSR has 80 Study centers spread across the different districts of Orissa like Angul, Bhadrak, Baragarh, Balasore, Cuttack, Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Jharsuguda, Jajpur, Khordha, Keonjhar, Kandhamal, Kendrapara, Mayurbhanj, Nayagarh, and Sambalpur.

- IGNOU BBSR Regional Center will invite the application forms for admission to the July session of all Postgraduate, Undergraduate, and certification courses from 12 May 2025*. Candidates applying for admission at BBSR can visit the official website http://rcbhubaneshwar.ignou.ac.in
- BBSR RC will also start the IGNOU re-registration process for the 2nd year students of all the programs from 5 May 2025*. Candidates who want to enroll for the 2nd year can also visit the same website mentioned above.

IGNOU BBSR Regional Centre Admission Updates 2025
The IGNOU BBSR Regional Center will begin their admission process for the July session of all the UG, PG, Diploma, and Certification courses from 12 May 2025*, and the last date for the IGNOU admission will be 30 June 2025* at Bhubaneswar RC . Candidates who want to enroll in any of the programs offered by BBSR can visit the official website http://rcbhubaneshwar.ignou.ac.in for the submission of the admission forms before the mentioned deadline.

Applicants can also follow these steps for filling out the admission forms to avoid any problems:-
NOTE:- DEB ID is mandatory for submission of application. Please create your DEB ID before starting the application process.
- Candidates must visit the official portal of the IGNOU Bhubaneswar Regional Centre to start the admission process http://rcbhubaneshwar.ignou.ac.in.
- After reaching the site applicants will see a notification related to IGNOU admission in the section of news and events.
- Now, candidates will see the admission link that will redirect them to the official portal of the IGNOU Samarth, which is @ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in click on this link and start the admission process
- After reaching the home page of the IGNOU Admission portal, select the option “Click here for new registration” appearing on the left side.
- Now, fill in all the required information such as Name, Email ID, Contact Number, and more, and register yourself.
- University will send Credentials to your registered mail ID, now log in with your registered username and password.
- Upload all the required documents, such as Passport size Photographs, Signatures, and qualification certificates for the completion of the application form.
- Choose the course of your interest and recheck the form before submitting it.
- Pay the registration fee of INR 500 and the course fee via Debit/Credit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, and more.
- Don’t forget to take a screenshot of the payment you made.
