IGNOU Agartala Regional Centre: IGNOU Agartala Regional Centre is one of the authorized study centres under the North-East Educational Development Project established in 2001. The department was founded to cater to the increasing demand for standard higher education through distance learning mode in Tripura state.
The office is located in MBB College Compound, New Science Block, College Tilla, Agartala. The regional facility is 15 km away from Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport and only 2 km away from Agartala Railway Station. Dr. Biswajit Bhowmik is the appointed senior regional director at the centre.
The center aims to plan and implement required training and entrepreneurship programs in collaboration with other central and state agencies to enhance employment opportunities for the students of the North-East. The jurisdiction of the centre covers the entire Tripura. At the moment, there are 4 program study centres and 9 regular learning centres. This regional office of IGNOU has also received The University Gold Medal for Best Services in 2015 and 2008.

IGNOU Agartala Regional Centre will commence the admission procedure for the 2025 July academic session for all the offered courses on 12 May 2025*. IGNOU Agartala Regional Centre admission 2025 last date will be 30 June 2025* under July academic session.
Candidates who couldn’t make time to apply before can now do so without paying the late charges at the official site ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. To understand the process properly, make sure to go through the below admission process.

- Visit the official portal of the regional centre first rcagartala.ignou.ac.in.
- Here, scroll down a little, and at the left side under the “Announcements” section click on “Fresh Admission is open for January-2025 Session” to go to the next step.
- Next, click on the “Click here for details” button to access the official site, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
- On this page, you are required to register using information such as your name, email ID, and others.
- After that, log in providing the details such as username and password.
- Once that is over, finish the application form entering details like the passport-size photo of the students, their scanned signature, educational certificate, and so on.
- Select the program you want to enroll in and make the INR 300 payment using the mentioned methods on the page.
