IGNOU Raipur Regional Centre: This RC was established to provide improved student service services to rural and remote area students. The IGNOU Raipur, Chhattisgarh RC was instituted in January 2003, and from its foundation, the department is dedicated to offering various programs and efficient support services to all learners. Dr H. Sangeeta Majhi is the current senior regional director of the RC.
The Raipur Regional Centre was carved out of the IGNOU Bhopal RC. The department started operating with only 11 learner support centres, and currently, it has 39 centres under its jurisdiction. The RC coordinates between university headquarters, study and learner centres. The office provides affordable and higher education in the remote areas of Bhopal. The areas the RC covers are Kanker, Kawardha, Bilaspur, Dhamtari, Durg, Janjgir-Champa, Jashpur, Korba, Koriya, and Mahasamund.

IGNOU Raipur Regional Centre Admission Updates 2025
IGNOU Raipur regional centre will begin the admission procedure under the July academic session from 12 May 2025* for their all offered courses. Students can apply on the official website, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in, or they can gain admission at the regional centre. IGNOU Admission 2025 last date will be 30 June 2025* into the July AY at the Raipur Regional Centre.
The staff at the help desk will be there to help with the application process. The online process requires the submission of scanned papers, with a fee of INR 300. Before completing the form, students have to register first on the official website, and the process is detailed below.

IGNOU Raipur Regional Centre Admission Process 2025
- From the Raipur Regional Centre portal rcraipur.ignou.ac.in students have to click on the “Announcements” option at the upper right side of the page.
- Access the admission link from the latest announcements, click on the news for the January 2025 cycle, and click on it to get the online platform ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
- Once arriving at the official portal, register by entering the initials like the name of the candidate, email ID, mobile number, password, user ID and other details to click on “Register”.
- Make sure to log in by entering the username, and password and click on “Login” to verify the student profile.
- Access the online form, and enter the necessary details. After that, provide the scanned documents which should be within 200 KB, and you will need papers like educational certificates, photographs and signatures of the applicant and so on.
- Complete the application by paying the INR 300 fee through net banking, credit or debit cards.
