IGNOU Nagpur Regional Centre: Some years ago, the Maharashtra state was under the Jurisdiction of Pune RC. However, later to fulfill the increasing number of Vidarbha people for a nearby learning centre with a focus on serving students in this region, the IGNOU board of management, on 2007, 26 February, in its 89th meeting, approved the establishment of the Nagpur regional centre. The RC started functioning on 2009, April 1, and currently, Dr. Laxman Kumarwad is the senior regional director.
The centre was inaugurated on September 10, 2009, and at present it has 14 districts in Maharashtra, such as Yavatmal, Washim, Wardha, Parbhani, Nanded, Nagpur, Hingoli, Gondia, Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, Buldhana, Bhandara, Amravati, and Akola.

- At the Nagpur regional centre IGNOU will commence the admission procedure for all the offered courses from 5 May 2025* under the July academic session, you can apply by visiting the official portal rcnagpur.ignou.ac.in.

IGNOU Nagpur Regional Centre Admission Updates 2025
Students residing in Nagpur can enroll in person at the regional center for IGNOU admission to all the offered courses in the July academic session from 12 May 2025* and the last date to apply for admission will be 30 June 2025*. Online application is done on the official link ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

IGNOU Nagpur Regional Centre Admission Process 2025
- The admission process on the online platform is easy. Interested candidates have to visit the authorized RC URL rcnagpur.ignou.ac.in.
- After opening the homepage, you can see the “Admissions” button at the top left side of the page and click on it.
- This will directly take you to the official admission page, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
- Once accessed the Samarth portal, it’s important to complete the registration by clicking on “Click here for new registration”.
- Provide the initials required, such as the username, password, applicant’s name, valid email ID, mobile number, and verification code, and click on “Register”.
- After completing this part, login, add the user ID, and password, and click on “Login”.
- Fill out the application after the login process is over. Select a program you want to apply to at IGNOU.
- Upload the relevant documents such as the educational mark sheets or certificate, identity proof, a scanned signature and photograph of the applicant, category certificate, experience certificate, and so on.
- Finally, make the payment by debit or credit card, or net banking. The registration fee is INR 300.
IGNOU Nagpur Regional Centre Faculties
The Indira Gandhi National Open University, RC Nagpur, under the guidance of the senior regional director Dr. Laxman Kumarwad, offers study material to the students. Besides using various digital media techniques to provide better learning opportunities, the RC provides in-person counseling, interactive TV and radio sessions, audio-video sessions, multiple online resources, etc.
